db'x' the 'x' can be a number or a letter such as gamedata.db1 for e.g. The gamefiles are stored in the main directory and are compressed and have the extention. When you create a gamedate folder and tell the fsgame.ltx file to look in the gamedata folder by changing the 'false' to 'true' it no longer looks in the stalker game directory for essential files that run the game but instead it starts to look in the gamedata folder which obviously does not contain the essential game files. Except for one guy in a German forum, but the fix that solved it for him didn't help me.Click to expand.OK i'll try to explain how it works. Is FileFront's zipped file of the mod incomplete or something? Because there are tons of people who play this mod on 1.0006 with no other modifications to the game like I'm trying to pull off, and after hours of Googling I can conclude nobody has my problem, besides those who downloaded cracks of the game and have missing files in their bin folder (unlike me). On a related note, a few of the settings in the Modifier program report that a file was not found, such as the flashlight. But those logs are in a weird format and Notepad can't translate them to English from weird-character-language. Now every time I launch the game with the mod installed, there are never any logs, except for in the bin folder. At first the log files were reporting that the game couldn't find files which were in other not installed mods, so I added those files. This is a mod I really want to give a try, but for some reason whenever I launch the game with Complete 2009 installed, after the splash screen there is half a second of a window that says "Please Wait." and then it disappears and the XR_3DA.exe process stops running.
They all work flawlessly except one, STALKER 2009 Complete 1.3 with the 1.32 patch. So, I have a bunch of different gamedata folders with different mods installed, and I have one at a time in the directory of my legal 1.0006 STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl installation.
